Making cheese look sexy would be a pretty tough task, one would imagine, but the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board actually did it.
One digital agency has been daring with dairy and created a virtual-shrine dedicated to 30 lush, droolworthy types of cheeseburgers, with photography that would make a grown man cry in desperation and craving.
Cheese and Burger Society is a campaign microsite created in honour of Wisconsin cheese. Thirty luscious, tastebud tingling cheeseburgers have been magnificently created, named and photographed and are introduced with charisma by a masculine MC (I think it sounds like Patrick Warburton, of Seinfeld fame) with a killer script.
The 30 delectable hamburgers range from simply greaseball to garishly gourmet, and every burger has a backup card featuring a list of ingredients so you can attempt to make it and an introduction to the types of cheeses that feature in your burger of choice.
Also boasting a facebook community of 105,000 fans (no doubt with a cult-following amongst males aged 24 -55), merchandise is also available so you can feel part of the Cheese and Burger Society.
Clearly a digital winner (it won a coveted FWA site of the day award for August 27, 2009),  it’s funny, beautifully done and adds value to people’s lives with recipes and a little education on-the-side about cheese, glorious cheese. Agency: Shine Advertising Co.
